Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and name via Clerk, our authentication provider. When you subscribe we collect payment information via Stripe — we never see or store your card details directly. We also store the documents you create in Rewright on our servers so you can access them across devices.

2. How we use your information

We use your email to authenticate you, send essential account notifications, and associate your subscription with your account. We use your documents solely to provide the service — we do not read, sell, or share them. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. AI completions

Text you write may be sent to OpenAI to generate AI completions. This is processed under OpenAI's API terms. We do not use your content to train models. You can disable AI completions at any time from the toolbar.

4. Data storage and security

Your documents are stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database. Authentication is handled by Clerk and payments by Stripe — both SOC 2 certified providers. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

5. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your documents at any time from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@rewright.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (set by Clerk). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Third-party services

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• OpenAI — AI text completions

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@rewright.ai.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of Rewright after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
